Captain Marvel

Well, it’s finally here. After the events of Infinity War , and that ending pager scene, we are finally introduced to the incredibly powerful Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel. Now, this is one that I was super excited for, as I had it listed as my number 8 most anticipated release of 2019. I’m not going to get into the politics of this movie, or the fact that a bunch of people tried to bomb its rating simply because of the comments of Brie Larson. The main question here is, how was the movie, and, more importantly, should you spend your money to see it?             Captain Marvel revolves around kree warrior Vers, and the flashes of a past that she can’t remember appearing to her as dreams. During a rescue mission, she is launched into space and crash lands in a Blockbuster on Earth in the year 1995. There, she meets a younger, two-eyed Nick Fury, and so begins her mission to stop the skrulls from retrieving a core t...

Top 25 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019

What’s in store for 2019? I’ve taken a look at almost every upcoming release I could find to see what should excite us for this year. Now, with so much coming up, there was no way I was going to narrow this down to just ten films, so we’re saying screw it and just going for twenty-five! Let’s get started. 25. Pokémon Detective Pikachu Upon first glance this doesn’t look like much, and I will say that it is a bit odd to hear Ryan Reynolds voicing Pikachu, but if we have learned anything from Ryan Reynolds’ career it’s that he gives amazing performances when he’s passionate about a project. His recent showings as the fun merc with a mouth have proven that. But, let’s be honest here, we’re interested in this to see how they handle the live action adaptations of the beloved Pokémon that we grew up with, and if this hits the mark in terms of success, it could be the right first step towards giving us a Pokémon cinematic universe. Who could hate that? 24. Godzilla: King of the M...

Top 10 Movies of 2018

We’ve come to the start of 2019 and it’s time to list off my top ten movies of 2018. This was a difficult list to make as a lot of movies were big surprises and I was pleasantly surprised by the way the year has played out. Fair warning, I did not manage to catch Hereditary because I’m a bit of a baby when it comes to horror, so that will not be on here, although I’m certain it’s good. Now, before we start, I would like to point out that this isn’t based on ratings I’ve given out. This is simply which movies I enjoyed the most from 2018 for whatever reason. I have four honorable mentions. Creed II , Incredibles 2 , Annihilation , and BlacKKKlansman all were considered for this list, and very closely made it, but in the end, there were ten movies I liked just a little bit more. Let’s begin. 10. Love, Simon What a charming movie this ended up being. Greg Berlanti did a wonderful job directing this movie and gave it such a good feel that one can just sit back and enjoy everythi...
